Syrians

We visited our Syrian friends in the ever increasing sprawl of their camp. It's looking very permanent now. The little boy in the top is utterly gorgeous. They call me his grandmother because I was there at his birth! The children loved looking at our book of animals.

His mum (who is only 23, married at 13) is expecting baby no. 6 any day now. The camp only gets electricity for 2 hours in 24. It's so hard for them coping with the darkness. It's going to help me not complain about our electricity supply in future.
