The Arrival...

of snow day!  We have had some weather.  Last night howling winds, that spooky sound it makes through the naked trees, clanging wind chimes and freezing cold (many people have been without power because of downed trees).  This morning dark and still very windy, snow arrived around lunchtime, there's not been much but enough to turn the neighborhood streets quiet and very strong gusts of winds have continued.  But the day's not over yet, sleet and freezing rain on the menu for the evening commute.  We both stayed home all day.  I did make a short foraging expedition out to buy chocolate and shower curtain rings - bizarre combo, I know.  I love the yard sign that I saw en route, in extra.
