There's a National Christmas Tree Day ?!!?

Blipfoto is a wonderful and educational medium. Just been informed by visiting rossmackenzie's lovely journal that it is National Christmas Tree Day today ...

Having hidden the station Christmas tree yesterday morning ... and genuinely forgetting about it since. I expected at least one person on station at anytime to know that it might have been me, or "Bah-HumDoug" as I am known this time of year.

I opened up my work emails at home (I know, shouldn't do, but just as well ...) and was confronted by the first station wide email which enquired as to the whereabouts of the aforementioned synthetic chrimbo-twig.
It described the efforts of a couple of managers who helpfully turned the station over trying to locate the thing.
It also mentioned the imminent purchase of another decorated dust collector to the tune of about £80 from the social club kitty.
I had to fess up.
The subtraction of funds normally used to fuel the station's “inmates-outmates-anywhere-you-want-mates” with biscuits, for a sparkley bauble hanger, was too much for me to bear.

It took me just under an early morning hour to round up cards and "presents" in town today. Hence the image today ...... of people ... in a shopping centre ... near Christmas time .....
