What ? Me? ...

A day of cattle work and paper work ! First job at 7am was to go next door to calve a cow. The calf was coming backwards and it felt like it was going to be a dead one when I was putting the calving ropes on it. We managed to jack it out and it was alive, so a good start to the day.
Had a mini 3 bike rodeo to bring in the 3 remaining bulls from the field. Not too much bother. Took 1 next door,one  to a field here and put the last one in a pen with 5 cows with younger calves.
When I came in at lunch time I was met by a wee rat bag and a well chewed door mat. The look is to say " I don't know how it happened ! "
Spent the afternoon doing paperwork,sorting out VAT invoices for the CA and then entering 185 twelve digit ear tag numbers onto the computer for the grandly named "Scottish Suckler Beef Support Scheme". Was about cross eyed by the time I finished,as I am definitely a 1 finger typist !
