Ancient and modern.

My first visit to Exeter since the major fire that destroyed the old Royal Clarence Hotel and some adjoining buildings, which fronted the Cathedral Green, at the end of October. Several shops in the area still remain closed. As a consequence the Cathedral is now more visible from the modern Princesshay Shopping centre which was very busy today with shoppers.
