Quiet day

This street is in the older, non touristy, part of Funchal. It's pedestrianised and has a number of simple local restaurants serving traditional Madeiran food at very good prices.

My sister in law found a new one, Regional Flavours, which we happened to be passing at lunchtime.

Today was a bank holiday and everywhere was quiet. I love the simplicity of the black and white of the houses and stones on the road and pavement (and the fish soup was pretty tasty too)
