Unexpected………………..

………………….....…Meeting


  It was a wet trip taking a friend to an appointment in Nelson this morning and it was still raining as I made my Christmas cake this afternoon.

Deciding a photo of raindrops was an appropriate option for today’s blip I headed outside, took a selection of photos and as I was returning to shelter under the pergola I spied this cicada sitting on the swan plant - quite an unexpected meeting!

 New Zealand has 42 cicada species and subspecies. All are unique to this country.
