Repetition.
Life is repetitive, not exactly Grounhog Day, but definitely repetitive. So this morning we collected several large bags full of Linus quilts from Dunbar, took Merlin for a stroll around the John Muir Country Park where I Blipped a rhea, visited a friend and had lunch with her before coming home and going to set up the cinema.
The country park is good value for money, it is free (if you forget to feed the parking meter) and it borders the East Links Family Farm, which has an entrance fee but is perfectly visible over, or through, the fence. It was here that Merlin met the rhea and strolled up to the fence to say hello. The rhea fluffed up its feathers and ran away. It stopped after about ten yards, turned, looked at Merlin and, obviously curious about this animal without any legs, wandered back to say hello. Merlin barked and ran away. He stopped after about ten yards . . . Well, you can guess how the sequence continued, again, and again, until we eventually had a reasonable Blip and wandered off and, for want of anything better to do, Merlin followed.
