Earthworks

I do like to go back to telephoto landscapes occasionally. It used to be a regular thing for me picking out a small square or rectangle of far off land.

The farmland in this photo is not easy to see when near to it. There is no public footpaths over it and the land rises away from the road giving little clue of what the land is like other than it is food for sheep.

From distance it looks like there are some signs if old or very old ( maybe both) earthworks. Most probably quarrying for stone I would guess.
