Flood defences

Flood defences /strengthening works on the Water of Leith at Murrayfield today.
This seems to have been going on forever, I think the best part of two years. I was standing on the old stone footbridge into Murrayfield and the whole bridge was shaking from the pounding of the heavy equipment. I guess it will be worth it in the end.
The extra is a family of mallards who were completely ignoring the whole proceedings!
