From The Outside, Looking In, Brighton

After a hectic few days at work it was time for a break and a trip down to Brighton for some R & R, plus some Christmas shopping. Today's shot was taken very late in the afternoon, looking in to a cafe from the outside. It reminded me so much of  a time when I was much younger. In the early 80's me , my brother and my late Mum used to take the long bus journey from where we lived down to visit my sister who was an university in Canterbury. Particularly in the winter it so often seemed to be very cold and I often remember the steamed up windows of the buses, cafes and shops (not so much central heating in those days!).
I can really recall the fish and chip shop at the end of the street where my sister stayed - the windows were always steamed up just like this and inside was the plump family that ran it. All of them had chubby little red cheeks from all the constant cooking ( and probably eating as well!!!). A whole different world to today.
