And So This Is Christmas

OK, so it isn't quite Christmas time yet, but all of the signs are out there. It's coming, it's coming! When I was a child, there was no happier time of year.

I was on campus on this day for a training event, but before it started, I zipped around and visited some of my favorite places. These included the Nittany Lion Inn and Old Main, two famous Penn State landmarks.

The Crittergators were with me, and they rejoiced (and sneezed tiny powdered-sugar sneezes) to get a chance to play in/on the gingerbread Nittany Lion Inn replica. You may see a photo of that fun in the extras.

I also made a special stop to visit the Christmas tree in the Old Main lobby, which is my main photo for this day. This was the spot of the very first Blip I ever posted, and that's no coincidence: I love to visit the tree every year.

The view through the glass doors is a slightly different twist on the earlier shot. I thought it gave that breathless feeling of holiday excitement: a glimpse of sparkle-shiny festivity through the glass. . . .
