Heather in bloom!

Visited a few craft shops in Kircudbright this morning, drove over to Gatehouse of Fleet, had lunch at Mill on Fleet, very good too! Then over the hills via the Raiders Road Forest drive, stopped to take photos, this is one of many! met a few cars on single track road, peaceful, isolated, beautiful! Visited Catstrand art cafe in New Galloway & had a coffee, then over to Balmaclellan to visit clog & shoe maker, very colourful footwear, made to measure too!
Back to B&B via brewery in Castle Douglas to taste local beer, (not me....driving!).
When we got back, I walked along River Dee, very good dinner in Glenholme Country House, our B&B.

Off to Northumberland tomorrow , Hadrian's country!
