The mountain is back
This was a very mixed day. I got the calendars off to the printer and expect to receive the finished ones back in about a week - what a relief.
Then I tried to schedule an appointment with the vertigo specialist - I had tried to get through repeatedly, being told that wait times to speak with a scheduler were anywhere from 12 to 19 minutes - but finally reached the person I needed. She then informed me that The University of Washington, where he is located, does not accept Medicare Advantage insurance plans like mine. So there I was, faced with a no-win situation: my family doctor's office will accept nothing other than MedAdvantage plans, and the UW will not accept them. I called my insurance agent in a panic, only to learn that, yes, UW does indeed accept my insurance, this physician is actually on the provider list for 2017, and there should be no problem being able to see him and have the insurance cover it. Tomorrow I will call again and try to set the appointment. For those of you living outside the United States, this probably seems the height of insanity, but it is just proof that we do not have a healthcare "system" at all.
I started feeling cheerier after my agent's call, and then discovered that Mt. Rainier was visible again! Of the eight shots I was able to get, this was the best. Clearly late in the afternoon, when the sun is setting in the west, the glow lights up Rainier to the south, and the clear, cold weather we had today tops it off. So glad to be able to share it with you.
It was cold but sunny and completely clear today, a great day to be alive. Hope you all felt the same way.
