The Porty Christmas Lights

One tree. That's it. Disappointing that the council didn't let everyone know that they would be cutting back so much until it was too late to organise anything locally. Presumably they didn't want to deal with months of angry letters in the papers but if they had said in the summer that they wouldn't be able to afford lights in the suburbs (as a result of spending everything in the city centre?) I'm sure local businesses would have got together to do something about it. On my way to football where an icy pitch and nine-a-side combined to keep the score down to a narrow 1-2 defeat.
