Today ... Red Sky in the Morning

Day 20 of missymoo's August Challenge, Today: Take a photo of something in your day today.

Today started for me at 5am when I woke up feeling very warm. Getting up to open the window wider I noticed the sky developing warm pink tones, which bought to mind the old saying

Red sky at night; shepherds delight,
Red sky in the morning; shepherds warning

In the event the weather turned out fine, and the day ended with a virtually cloudless blue sky (though not red). However, perhaps this was a warning for the day ahead as work was frustrating and largely non-productive. Worst, on returning home I found a bird lying dead on the patio, which was almost certainly the young blackbird from yesterday's blip, or its sibling - a stark reminder that life is fleeting and nature can be hard.
