Gorgeous

Gorgeous has been in the shed all day today. He's just about finished his latest carving....A HUGE house sign. He loves carving and I love to see him working with stone. I adore this man so much and I feel incredibly lucky to be his. Gawd knows what I did to deserve him.

In other (less slushy) news, I spent another morning with the geegees in Stromness. Rosie out in the cart on a new route, then the same for Willie. Considering Stromness is a small, peaceful town on a remote island, you can encounter all manner of vehicles and objects! Great training for the horses... who did very well with everything. The bin lorry at close quarters, lots of suspicious bins loitering around corners, a marquee flapping about in the wind, a tractor with a big sharp pointy tooth which was waiting to attack from a driveway, cars not slowing down, workmen clattering on a site and some horses cantering about in a field beside us. But! THE most terrifying thing of the day...drum roll...A dead leaf blowing along in the wind.
