Cut Glass Macro
This is an extreme macro of a tiny bit of a cut glass whisky tumbler. It is a stacked image of 9 shots. It was lit from behind using a LED gang of lights through a diffuser and I have left in the slightly blue cast that these lights give it.
The whole thing took a while to do as the quick release base of my manfrotto tripod head was nearly falling apart and would not have taken the weight of my micro positioning system so I had to go on the net to find out how to fix it. Still I now have a secure tripod. I dread to think what might have happened if I tried to fix whilst out on location as it involves at least three tiny springs.
