Champions

Big day for Tuttle Jnr & myself. We headed to London to take part in a British Finswimming Championship. Yes that's right I had to take part also. It was very different to a normal gala, the main reason being the speed of the swimmers. Check the size of the mono fins in the blip and you'll soon get the idea. Many medals were picked up including Tuttle Jnr: 3 firsts, a 2nd and a 3rd. I picked up two 3rd's in certificate form (tight arses) one of which only 3 took part, hardly worth boasting about. I did my usual photo duties but was very limited as the time between races were very short plus more time was needed to prepare as putting on a mono fin requires plenty of muscle and even more shampoo/Vaseline for a slidier foot insert motion. Note also: you cannot walk once they are on! Plus I had to borrow Tuttle Jnr's Bi-fins.
So as you can imagine the day was hectically manic, but in a fun way as we all put on an ace performance. Our late arrival back at the Premier Inn meant we missed the last meal. On the bright side MacDonald's was conveniently positioned opposite. And we were allowed to bring our Nuggets, Fries, Big Macs, Flurries, Cokes, Milkshakes, Lattes (yes really), Happy Meals, Cheese Burgers & Fillet o Fish into the lounge while we replenished our lost energy with drinks from the bar. Awesome. We went to bed late, but slept fantastically well.
