On the map

Lucy brought us this lovely old map of North Northumberland when she came to stay recently. It's a Bartholomew's "half-inch to mile" map of England and Wales, and in pristine condition, so we've decided to have it framed.

Love these old coloured maps - much easier to see the topography than on the 1:25000 maps, where the relief is indicated only with lines.
