Madrid day 3 and what a day it's been. We navigated the excellent local trains & travelled to La Garena to catch up with Pete & Naomi, friends for so many years in different geographical contexts that it's difficult to remember where it began. Pete & Naomi live, raise their family (wonderful family too!), work and witness in their new home town. And what a great work they do. Then off to Toledo, an achingly beautiful walled city. Please do check out the extra blip for a city view. On the way back we stopped off in Mercado de San Miguel, a vibrant market in the heart of Madrid, for empanadas & wine (fantastic!). So it's been a great day with a great mix of beautiful people, beautiful places & fabulous food. What a great place this is!
