Sarah-Jane is our niece. Twelve weeks ago she had a huge spinal operation, was out of hospital after 8 days fitted with a back brace. She wears this all day every day until November. When I was a paediatric nurse 30 years ago I nursed children like S-J. They were nursed flat on a Stryker frame for 6 weeks or more then in a plaster cast jacket for up to six months.
Sarah-Jane climbed the cliff at West Bay ! In flip flops ! Which is the more amazing S-J or the advance in orthopaedic surgery ?!
