Musicking on!

I grew up in a place (and in the family) where classical MUSIC is a very serious business. This is something else, entirely. Vast majority of people you see above are NOT professional musicians. Ania, a fellow Pole, teaches Spanish at the foreign languages department. Others are either connected with the university, or happen to be bankers, lawyers, or shop owners who have played music for a long time, and long to connect with others while keeping to do so. While it could be a recipe for disaster (musically speaking), the group plays quite well together, led by the chair of Music Department. It was also fun to see so many people I know, friends, colleagues, and fellow parents with children.

I made a personal discovery during the performance - clarinet is one cool instrument! Must investigate further...
