Although this is a different type of hoverfly from the previous two. This fellow is a sunfly (or footballer hoverfly depending on which site you look.) Here he is enjoying the mint in a pot in our garden. I did try lots of other insects and got a reasonable - and hairy - shot of a dung fly, but the hoverflies still win in terms of prettiness.
