Everywhere were children
and most of them were clamouring to be photographed. Not this lot though - they were just curious. Naresh took me out to a Muslim district after we had spent several hours dealing with punctured tyres, one of which which he changed for a spare and then gave to a chap to patch who worked a couple of miles away and sat on the pavement to do it. I bought him two new tyres and inners and Naresh then gave the newly mended ones to a friend for his scooter - so the world goes around.
We walked through markets where there was lots of butchery and cooking going on - mostly buffalo meat. At the end of every road it seemed the mountain loomed with its fort and walls and I saw the dune that I climbed a couple of years ago. Finally we bought a i/2 kilo of beautiful looking sweets and some yoghurt and ended up at an aunt's room to take lunch. We sat on the very lumpy bed in their room which they shared with their middle aged son and the aunt cooked some simple dishes and shared some of her sweets. We then all piled into the tuktuk - the large aunt, three friends and the huge son - and drove to a family wake which was being held in a park. The majority of the women were in white, many were wailing, others speaking about the kindness of the man who had died and was cremated 3 days ago. I did not go anywhere near.
Went to the dentist and had the bad news that I need some surgery tomorrow. Also have to move accommodation so might just move on with my stitches and get them taken out elsewhere. There may be no communication tomorrow. For more pics go to yesterday's link and scroll to bottom.
