A sunny Saturday ...and after brunch in the north, to the Shrine of Remembrance...and then the Botanics, Noodle fest etc. The Shrine is quite wonderful. Scale and poise of Washington or Leopold or Napoleon. But understated too. Grand and sad. And in service of Empire indeed...
