It's That Time of Year!

I spent the day decorating my little apartment for Christmas. I had so much fun playing Christmas music and pulling out all of my holiday treasures. I have a lot of little wooden Christmas pieces that were hand-made by my Grandpa, and I love seeing them around my home. On my Christmas tree, almost all of my ornaments are from places that I have travelled to. I love that each one has a story. Some of my favorites are a red-glass angel hand made in Murano, Italy; a golden maple leaf from Alaska; a hand-stiched fish from Cozumel; a snowboarding moose riding a chairlift from Crested Butte, Colorado; a #2 pencil ornament I received from one of my students my first year of teaching; and 2 ornaments I made myself when I took a crash course in glass blowing in college. This is my favorite time of year. Merry Christmas!
