Village switch on

A busy and fun day. We had a dedication service this morning for our new door in church in the presence of the family whose generosity paid in memory of a recently deceased family member. I was asked to be the photographer (extra)
Afterwards we had a shared lunch which was most enjoyable.

Chris was soon back this afternoon helping to put up the church crib and then we were there again for the Christmas tree lights switch on. Chris is the behind the scenes man and has to get the countdown timing just right! We had a school choir, carols and corny cracker jokes from the vicar. With fine weather it all went really well and the parish council provided drinks and mince pies in the church afterwards.

A lovely day for the second Sunday in Advent.
