The Lone Blue Heron

I have yet to see a second blue heron in the pond. Seems he's made his life as a loner and no sign of a partner on the horizon.
I went to a craft fair today hoping to find some Christmas presents but the spark of something well crafted or special was missing. Wasn't sure if it was me or the pieces so I gave up.
I ended up taking photos for a local soccer club who had made it to the 5th round, their furthest yet, and there was great support around. Our local ladies GAA footbal team was playing the all Ireland final in Carlow and as we watched the match we were reliant on twitter for updates....
Both teams won on the day the Christmas tree was turned on so great excitement in the town....... Lots of happy people around today....just saying...
