Grande Canal, Venezia

Some years ago we were in Venice, waching an artist at work on the quayside near St Mark's Square, he had a number of completed paintings for sale, this one caught our eye, we paid the very small sum of 7 UK pounds and brought the canvas back, rolled up in our luggage. Since Venice is our favourite city of ALL, it serves to remind us of how unique it is.
The canvas is unsigned and I always wonder if the artist ever made a name for himself, ultimately:)
I had it framed but this frame by the grace of Photoshop, is nicer than that we had done locally.:)
