I stopped into Portland Nursery late in the afternoon. First I was delighted to see a hummingbird on a bare branched coral bark maple set among among other bushes and plants with a hummingbird bird feeder nearby. Then I turned and saw this small Buddha nestled among rocks, trees and bushes in another vignette.

I listened to Pema Chodron on my drive into the city and she talked about awakening the heart and awakening to love, including for ourselves.
