He's just back from a business trip and is pleased to see her. She is playing it cool. 

We had Fred for the morning and took a quick trip to Bantry market in search of a rug. 
Then Fred and I met up with his mum and his Aunty for lunch in town. Very nice.
This evening I started on the Christmas decorations. And it rained for the first time in two weeks.
