Bears Breeches (Acanthus)

These plants are usually only seen in large gardens as they are greedy for space. just think they have been around since roman times, you find they were the inspiration for artists, wood turners metal workers etc etc just the leaf though, shame i think the flower has a charm of its own. this is from my own garden as i am finding it too hot to venture too far cooler today, only 28c
