A Warm Sunny Day At Last

This morning everything was wet from the rain, but patches of blue sky gradually increased in size. It was such a relief from the several days of deep gloom and low temperatures. The poppies are battered and bedraggled, and many are sprawling on the ground, as is this one.

I was able to get some of work done in the garden. Grass is rapidly growing up through perennials and bushes, and the bushes have had a growth spurt that makes walking along paths difficult, especially when they are wet.

The mountains appeared for the first time in four days. Much of last week’s snow has gone. See extra shot.
