Uploading this almost twelve years after taking it, I can't help but laugh. The term "selfie" was a good few years away from being coined, and there are quite a few changes: most of that hair up top has gone, nigh on totally bald there; no need for the unused hair gel in the background (long since chucked); hair at the side is a lot more grey; more laughter lines; those darned bags under the eyes don't ever seem to fade (can you get rid of them? And without surgical means!); the Spider Plant has miraculously survived all manner of neglect... it looks healthier here than now; still have that fleece - it's affie tatty these days; camera's long since been sold, but it was good; cheapo tripod I'd had for over twenty years, didn't survive much longer; same house and bathroom, with neither having changed much, other than wear and tear... and also neglect; and not much left of the (also in the background) now hard to find Avon "Skin So Soft" - an effective Midgee repellent!

Think I'm a bit more savvy regards digital cameras these days - have certainly had and used a good number extensively since then. Don't know that I'd want to repeat such a shot these days. Perhaps a bit too depressing to see the ill effects of time!
