Bridge 34a
Its been a while, almost a year, since my first visit to this intriguing part of Leicestershire beside Bosworth Battlefield and this wonderful bridge crossing the Ashby Canal on the battlefields southern flank.
While still a mild day under the December gloom there wasn't such a poetic sunset as my last visit... The old railway line north of this bridge and the cuttings quickset less silhouette, more prosaic, speaking a new language of complex textural detail lurking in the shadows of an ever fading daylight. Classical music in my ears, an upward force below my feet, fallen leaves tussle in the twilight a magic carpet ride through history all over again.
