A much needed day off.

pots are drying and i didn't have to do anything that constituted work!!  

A true sign of winter being accepted around here is the retrieving of the large bags of winter clothing and boots that are stored in the attic....did that today!

then after lunch and a wee nap...i dove into the pastel box!!!   this is the last one i did.   they are small, 6" x 8".....in the extra you can see the whole sheet of paper and my various explorations.   I stuck with the same kind of composition and basically the same colours that i picked out of the box.   I so often do one in one combo then move onto another one...but there is so much to be learned from sticking with the same palette...also reduces the time i spend figuring out what pastels to pull out of the box.  these are primarily colour and composition explorations, not necessarily finished paintings.

A very satisfied feeling!

Dinner and the final episode of The Crown.   wow, what i just never imaged going on in that family....it has been a great series!
