UAE National Day

It's been a busy day... up to around 5:30!

Church, then we popped into Dubai Mall - mainly to check out laptops and visit a couple of other stores. No joy on the laptops (they are totally overpriced here), and we probably have to go back for some things tomorrow. I managed to get a shot of a couple of young Emiratis walking through the Mall holding falcons! (See extra)

G had the idea to drive past Zabeel Palace on the way home. Great idea! There were peacocks everywhere! The colours on them are just phenomenal. Took loads of pictures (G had my camera), and it was hard choosing just one. Then got a shot of the main entrance gate (another extra). It looks very swish with the flags.

And then, I had another go at my laptop and surprisingly, Windows 10 seems to have righted itself and all my data is back where it should be - as promised! The laptop has taken a while to settle (hanging a few times) but it seems to be ok now, so let's see how it is the next few days. It is over four years old, so due a change.
