The Sphinx on the Bridge

Four of these Sphinxes decorate the bridge at the entrance to Compton Verney.   

I had an hour or two spare this afternoon so I took a look at the Picasso in Print exhibition which is at Compton Verney until the end of next week.  I'm not entirely sure what to make of it ... but the Victoria in Paris exhibition which is also on at the same time is definitely worth another visit.
