Post early for Christmas……..

……but I only had the one for distant shores this year (and, can I just say, the postage cost substantially more than 1d!) Taken on the walk home from an eyewateringly expensive trip to the opticians (for me this time!) This used to be my local post box when I first moved to Whitley Bay in 1974, and at that time it still dispensed stamps…..it's actually on the back of a quite rare K4 phone box (I had to look that up!)…..and it's a listed building!
