The Terrible Two

This is Bella and Gemma - better known as the terrible two! They have been here at the centre for almost three years and last week was the first time they ever stepped foot onto grass.

They were rescued from a bile farm that had housed them together so they've always had a very strong bond to each other. Unfortunately they have shown very few positive interactions with any other bears put beside them - which has made it difficult to integrate them into a house with enclosure access. Until last week that is! They are still on their own together but we've installed a temporary e-fence into a small section of a much larger enclosure so that they can finally come in and out as they please - allowing them a lot more freedom - and that is what it's all about :)
