Yes! That's snow!!

Arrived in snowy Latvia this morning and was very excited to see the white stuff everywhere! The temperature rose to 1 degree this afternoon, but the cobbled streets of Riga's old town are still very icy and treacherous. Hoping for some fresh snow over the next couple of days!

We were both feeling very weary after our early start so spent a leisurely afternoon aimlessly wandering around the cobbled streets and Christmas Market stalls. Tomorrow we need to get more organised! Rounded off the day at a cellar bar/restaurant with great Latvian food, bubbles and live folk music, though not of the tourist variety, a place very popular with the locals, and I can see why!
