Owls About Town

This is Ginny named after Virginia Bottomley.
A group of owls is called a Parliament, so the Owl 'sanctuary' called 'Owls About Town', have named all their owls after MPs. I must say you should see Maggie Thatcher :-) !!!

A good friend and her husband had three owls, unfortunately her husband got very sick, so knowing he didn't have long left and not wanting to leave his wife to cope with his two large owls as well as her smaller Tawny owl, the decision was made to gift their owls to this fabulous sanctuary.

So this is my friends' Tawny owl with her name changed from Izzy to Ginny. One of her husbands two owls is now called Peter Bottomley and they all live in aviaries next to each other.

We had a wonderful day there, the weather was cold but sunny. The owners Zsi and Andy are a fabulous couple and couldn't be more welcoming. They have even had a bench dedicated to Tom, my friends' husband, and it is set in front of the three aviaries housing their owls.
