Polesworth Abbey

I'd never heard of it.

I was early collecting my sister in law so I pulled over in the village of Polesworth to take a photo of the old school. Just up the road I saw a lovely old house with the light catching an attractive tree. I went closer.

Just near was a sign for Polesworth Abbey and an inviting path down to this old and beautiful church. I ran out of time and headed off.

Hidden Staffordshire never ceases to surprise me.

Edit. Oops. Just found out it's over the border in Warwickshire, but never mind. Happy to claim it as it's all the Kingdom of Mercia.
