End of the Pit

A visit out to one of my schools in Warwickshire allowed me to shoot all that remains of Britain s most productive and last deep coal mine. sadly the head stocks and surface buildings are mostly gone already. All that remains are the gatehouse and the pit memorial winding wheels and even these will be removed before long leaving no clues as to what was here and fading memories of a major part of Britain's industrial heritage,
