Extraordinary Day
We were all up early today, showered, shaved and dressed ready for church. We celebrated Janet and John's Wedding with the congregation of their church at a reception following the morning service.
Following the reception it was back to 'Grizzly Towers' to pack ready for our trip to Las Vegas. We set out around 1:00 pm and arrived at around 5:00 pm, stopping at Barstow on route for lunch.
Our hotel, The Travelodge is smack bang in the middle of the strip; no noise and quiet though. We checked in and then set off to explore, we arrived at the Bellagio Fountains a couple of minutes before 6:30 and waited.
Those that know will understand that this trip is in part funded by the legacy of Hanna, John and Clare's mother, Sam and Joshua's Granny. At her funeral one of the pieces of music she requested was "Time To Say Goodbye" by Botecelli and Brightman. It was therefore astonishing and unnerving that on our first ever visit to Las Vegas, standing outside the Bellagio the fountains started to that music, I was moved as I believe the others were.
As Joshua said; "Granny knows".
We moved on spending not a little time inside Caesars Palace where we had dinner at Planet Hollywood and todays Blip photo was taken before walking back down a now fully illuminated 'Strip' to our rooms where we are now safely tucked up ready for whatever tomorrow brings, I believe it may be the Hoover Dam and then more of the strip!
