Northern Shovelers On Pond

We got some much needed sun this morning, and had some newcomers to the backyard golf course pond.  I love these Northern Shovelers...they are fun to watch filter food from the water as they dip their wide long bills.  We also had a pair of hooded mergansers which took off the minute they saw me move.
