Basty

The British band, Bastille, finished the European leg of their tour in Düsseldorf last night, tickets got you (free public transport plus) entry to the venue, there were no seat reservations. It's not a gigantic venue (7,500 capacity) and is perfect for bands whose next step is an arena (and when Bastille tour again, it will be an arena tour). We couldn't get there until the support band had started which left us standing near the mixing desk - this turned out to be ideal, because the lead singer, Dan, left the stage three times to sing his way through the crowd.
Possibly one of the best concerts I've been to.

Now to teach the Germans that it's pronounced 'Bast-eel' and not 'Basty'.
