Candles

Sebastien is so obsessed with candles lately that I bought him a set of five remote-controlled battery-operated candles I found at the local drugstore. He loves being able to control them and manipulate them and move them around the room.

Tonight, he even asked to have one in his room as he went to bed. During the final song on his nighttime CD, I turned off all the lights and he watched the candle while he listened to Schubert's Ave Maria. The candles glow and flicker pretty realistically and the effect was quite magical with both the music and the candlelight together.

When the song was over, he said with a sigh, "That was very beautiful." I agreed.
