As expected

The river froze today.  Not unexpectedly following a 12-degree drop in temperature overnight.  A grey weather day was considerably brightened by a performance hosted by the South African Embassy in Moscow which included soprano Zandile Mzazi (an interview here) and tenor Given Nkosi.  Plus a huge performance by the sparkling and talented Mzansi Youth Choir.  All part of the 'South African Cultural Season in Russia'.
